Turkmenistan (Turkmen: Türkmenistan; also known as Turkmenia) is a Turkic country in Central Asia.
It is bordered by Afghanistan to the southeast, Iran to the southwest, Uzbekistanto the northeast,
Kazakhstan to the northwest, and the Caspian Sea to the west.
