Türkmenabat (Cyrillic Turkmen: Түркменабат; formerly Chardzhou. Cyrillic Turkmen: Чәрҗев;

Russian: Чарджоу) is a town in Turkmenistan, and capital of the Lebap Province. (Lebap velayat).

On the Amu Darya river (formerly Oxus River) which is the longest river in Central Asia.
